About
a better world is possible. but it needs to be built.
Valhalla Research is an R&D lab, a blog, an aspiration and a philosophical and political manifesto. I build things that matter and write about the world we're building toward.
It is built around the idea of humanist accelerationism (h/acc): the idea that we can accelerate technological progress without abandoning our humanity. Humanist Accelerationism is an ideal that in order to progress and transcend our definitions of humanity, we have to embrace what makes us human: unity with our fellow humans, embracing the planet that we live on while we reach for the stars and building technology and technological and political systems that prioritize human flourishing instead of hyperfocusing on capital accumulation.
The tech industry has become hollow. It lacks any sort of moral code, any kind of guiding philosophy outside of capital accumulation and "f**k you, got mine." We can do better. We have to do better, because the alternatives are harrowing.
What I'm Building
Most of my work at the moment involves building a social good agency for accelerating humanist technological development. This involves agentic worldsims, market research in decentralized finance (DeFi) and traditional finance (TradFi), decentralization and distributed infrastructure and more. You can find out more in my blog but I plan on publishing quite a bit more about what I'm working on in the near future.
